American Bullying Today, the world is not only in crisis; one of its most powerful actors still believes that it has the right to determine the fate of others. Washington has always spoken of a “world order,” but the question is: an order for whom? And what rules are being applied? As soon as the rules serve America’s interests, there is talk of law and order; as soon as those rules conflict with Washington’s interests, “American national interests” suddenly become important. This contradiction can no longer be hidden behind beautiful words. America calls itself a global power, but the world cannot be regarded as its private property. No flag is so sacred that the nation carrying it has the right to determine the fate of other nations. No army is so powerful that law can permanently replace violence.
